The late visionary Lee “Scratch” Perry returns with a transcendent new single, “Rain Dominion” – a genre-blending anthem produced by ionSound (Grant Hill) from archival studio recordings. The official music video was filmed on sacred ground: with rare access and glimpses into the site of Perry’s historic Black Ark studio (which he famously burned down) and The New Ark, his final creative sanctuary. Additional scenes were captured at Kingston’s legendary Mixing Lab Studio, with cameos from reggae icons Caveman and Fred Locks. The visual is not just a companion piece, but a spiritual and historical offering rooted in Jamaica’s musical legacy.
“Rain Dominion” emerges from the same transformative 2016 session that birthed “Evolution” – the debut collaboration between Perry and ionSound.
